Lulwa Al-Mulla, President of the Women’s Cultural and Social Society, firmly rejected the government’s attempt to pass a paragraph within Article 16 of the draft law establishing the Supreme Elections Commission.
The controversial clause would require women candidates to adhere to unspecified rules and legal provisions المتعلقة باللباس والمظهر.
