The Women’s Cultural and Social Society (WCSS) extends its sincere appreciation to the members of the National Assembly who took a stand against the second paragraph of Article 16, which imposes a veiling requirement on women when running for nomination and election.
We commend these parliamentarians for upholding constitutional values and promoting justice and equality.
WCSS calls upon all deputies to respect and implement the Kuwaiti Constitution, which guarantees fairness, dignity, and equal rights for all citizens—regardless of gender.
