Research Collaboration Community (ReCCo) – (2024 – Present)

The Research Collaboration Community (ReCCo) is the first of its kind in the Middle East, focusing on supporting female researchers in Kuwait and enhancing women’s contribution to scientific research. ReCCo aims to promote gender equality in research and bridge the gap between international and local research standards through awareness and proactive initiatives.


Goals of ReCCo

  • Supporting Kuwait’s Vision 2040 by increasing scientific indicators.
  • Enhancing research portfolios, developing skills, building resilience in research careers, and empowering young women.
  • Addressing gender-related obstacles in academia.
  • Highlighting the importance of mentorship and mutual support and establishing networks for collaboration inside and outside Kuwait.
  • Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
